Gemini AI Is Getting Personal — Literally
Google’s biggest push in 2026 is what it calls Personal Intelligence — a new era where Gemini AI connects directly to your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, YouTube history, and now Google Chat, to give you a truly personalized assistant experience. It’s all opt-in and privacy-forward by design, but when activated, Gemini can summarize your unread chats, surface buried project deadlines, and help you draft replies without switching between apps.
Gemini is also now rolling out natively in Chrome, where it can auto-browse the web on your behalf, explain complex topics on the page you’re reading, and even transform images in real time. This is available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S.
Nano Banana 2 — Google’s New Image Model
You read that right. Google officially launched Nano Banana 2 (officially called Gemini 3.1 Flash Image) this week — its latest and most capable image generation model. It features advanced real-world knowledge, real-time web image integration, and production-grade resolutions up to 2K for paid users. The rollout is live for both Gemini app users and Google Workspace customers.

Google Absorbs Intrinsic — Robotics Gets Serious
